6 7 2025 VINE 2 WINE INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION CHAMPIONS Agriculture is one of the most diverse and dynamic industries in the world. Out of all the food, fiber, flora, fauna is a product with a uniqueness that few agricultural products can match – grape growing and winemaking. It’s uniquely Texan, too. Wine is so connected to Texas that it’s highlighted and celebrated at the Lone Star State’s three major stock show and rodeos – Houston, San Antonio and Fort Worth – where wine competitions and promotional events are popular features. Continuing to raise the bar, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo pulled off another successful international wine competition October 18 through 20. In addition to the Texas wines there were wines from 10 countries and nine states judged by a distinguished panel of wine judges and winemakers. “Wine is an essential part of agriculture’s story,” said Matt Carter, president and general manager of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. “Through our international wine competition, we honor that connection and celebrate the craftsmanship behind every bottle. This year’s finalists truly represent excellence, and we look forward to sharing them with everyone at the 2026 Rodeo.” Wine lovers have opportunities to enjoy the amazing selections from this year’s competition at Dickies Arena, in the Corkyard, Suites and clubs in addition to our wine events.
